@ Rolling : Nice to see some sights of Gujarat. A state that I have never been to and whose name I often misspell. Surprisingly it is much cleaner than I had imagined it to be and I am also surprised that unlike many rivers in North India the water of the river above in the photo looks quite blue and clean. We often seen an occasional camel or two here as well. They are mostly with their owners who offer rides for money.
Odzer, O yes, the Sabarmati is beautiful, but it looks blue bec of the azure winter sky 🙂 It is kept clean, unlike the Ganges in Kolkata.
With spacious roads, planned parking space along all streets, and well kept, Ahmedabad is almost like a city in the West compared to other Indian cities. I like it here 🙂
Do come visit while am here, (treat you to authentic Bong food too), Somnath-on-Sea is beautiful!
Oooh! I loved looking at these photos. I visited Ahmedabad years and years ago, and your photos reminded me of that visit a long time ago. The one with Mr. Camel made me smile. 🙂
SaTan Atyarey Gujarati awechhey, pan, jyarey hun hiyan avihathhi, tyarey Guj natu awartu. (Now I know, but when I had come here a year back, I cdnt speak or read Gujarati)
I cdnt stay in the rlwy waiting room, had to rent a house – the Agreement was in Guj, also, the FIR for my lost PAN was in Gujarati 🙂
Am educated, well travelled, picking up a new language isn’t that difficult for me.
Consider the plight of an average Indian, though, an ordinary woman from another State, say for instance, my old 65 year old Mother. Do you expect her to go to Punjab and be able to read the boards herself? Wdn’t she always need help?
Why don’t we design things in such a way that our women, children and the masses, become more independent, less helpless?
This isn’t about you and ME, we have had a privileged education, belong to a privileged class, it’s about the teeming millions…that suffer silently, brood, become easy prey to “terrorist-divisionist” ideas. They can’t sway me/you to bomb a city, but they can influence Manwar easily, bec he has suffered on so many counts.
Every little thing is related, Satan. Don’t you think? 🙂
Cuckoo, 🙂 yeah…rather funny, makes me smile everytime. Contrast – modern urbane with rustic 🙂
glad to see you at last
Kanagu camels, squirrels, monkeys, pigeons, cows, sheep – this city has it all, cohabiting. Only dogs are treated really badly – I don’t understand why?
🙂
